Statement of Beliefs
My Personal Religious Beliefs - Kathy S.McBride

BRIEF STATEMENT OF BELIEFS:
1. There is one God contained in the The Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; Genesis 1:1; John 10:30; John 3:16; 1 Timothy 2:5,6; Luke 11:13)
2. Jesus Christ (God the Son) died on the cross for the sins of humanity thereby granting eternal life to all who call upon Him for salavation. (John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:21)
3. Jesus Christ will return to this earth (The Second Coming) to redeem His followers. Those who have already died will be resurrected and those of His who are alive at His Second Coming will be caught up in the air with those redeemed from the grave and will live for all eternity. Both the wicked dead and those alive at Jesus' Second Coming will be destroyed in the lake of fire, as will Satan (the devil) and his evil angels. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 22:12; Revelation 20:9-15; Ezekiel 28:13-19)
4. Jesus' death and resurrection fully paid the ransom for sin and there is no other means of salvation, including by "works." It is the Holy God's place to determine the fate of those who are "believers" yet don't know the Gospel message of salvation through the blood of Christ. Human beings have no input and no right to pass judgment on others. (1 Corinthians 6:20; Matthew 7:1-5; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8,9)
5. The work of the Body of Christ [God's church, His people] is to take the message of salvation to all the peoples of the world. (John 12:32; Matthew 28:19,20; Luke 24:47)
6. The Holy Bible is God's "love letter" to the human race and is completely true. It is to be taken literally except for prophetic llustrations such as some images found in the the book of "Revelation." (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; Revelation chapters 12 and 13)
7. The Ten Commandments - as recorded in the Bible - are binding and are both the reflection of God's character and the means of conviction of sin to the human race. (Exodus 20:2-17; John 14:15; John 15:10; 1 John 2:2-5; Romans 7:7-25)
8. Believers must be "born again" as taught by Jesus Himself: confession of sin, genuine repentance, baptism, making Jesus Lord of all, and believing Him for His promise of salvation. (John 3:1-7; Matthew 3:13-17)
